WEDDING WOWS AND WOES...
Our 08.08.08 Wedding was superbly fun and blissful, almost perfect if di pa namin nalaman ang mga glitches… Almost lahat din nakasmile… I was overwhelmed that day that I tend to disregard all the worries which happened.
To start it off, we had a 1 ½ year preparation for our wedding. And I may say, it’s better to start it all the earlier possible it should be. But still, no matter how long you had prepared, even if I am an OC person when it comes to preps, hay, there’ll still be glitches in the end.

On that night, di na ko talaga nakatulog. Same pala si hubby, din a rin naka-sleep. Tapos nasira pa yung nail polish ko, kasi di naman ako sanay mag-polish, bawal sa work. Kaya text kagad sa coord, dala ng nail polish.
Pagbangon ko on August 8, may bad news pa ko kay Mark, I had my first day of red day! Hay! Too bad, heavy pa naman ako.
Also a learning, in this time of your special event, malalaman mo talaga who really are your friends, who can make out of their time to attend the wedding on a weekday. And I really appreciate them. Sad part is dami nag-confirm, pero di naka-attend… We allotted additional 4 tables plus 2 tables buffer (aside from the caterer’s) pero around 3 tables yung may missing guests. Hay!
To top it all, our wedding was indeed full of laughters, sabi nila organized daw! Super happy namin kasi we savor the moments we had, kahit mabilis yung takbo ng oras, which is parang susunod ka na lang sa flow, well, we enjoyed every minute… never had to think of the hassles and bustles.
But, but, there’s a sad part sa wedding naming coz my officemates na tropa ko did not make it sa reception, sa church lang sila nakapunta coz, on their way sa Oasis, cor Broadway, they met a car accident. Four cars were hit by a Pajero driven by a 71year old man, naka-stop sila sa stoplight, nang biglang sobrang bilis ng impact ng pag-atras ng Pajero, natamaan sila, two cars driven by our guests. Huhuhu, so sad! Two of my female friends were rushed to St. Luke’s naka-braces pa yung isang friend ko for three days, while yung isa, naka-bandage for two days. Too bad that 888 became unlucky for them.. kaya tuloy memorable din sa kanila. But they’re now ok, and I thank God for that.
Heniway, had so many kwento from our various guest regarding our suppliers, so I would rather subdivide our ratings for them, since some naman, di ko na-experience.
Siguro, because Im a QA (at work), at metikulosa talaga ko, kaya these are all based from ours and the guests’ experiences. We had these kwentos after the wedding na super until now, madami pa rin kaming ni-rereminisce ni Mark. With our guests, katuwa rin kasi, super feedback din sila sa min. =)

Side story:
Before this church, I have visited around 5 churches. But only SSJ strucked me most! Oh so love the church, façade, location, the staff, the speakers for the Marriage Preps and Fr. Paul who interviewed us.
Quality Pros:
Of course, the church itself stood elegant and serene at the heart of East Greenhills. The way we wanted it to be.
The people behind are really warm and approachable. Never did they make ‘sungit or suplada’ at all. When it was our time for our interview on July 17, I was nervous then since Im thinking of what to say to the priest. I trembled when I saw Fr. Paul, coz he’s big and looks intimidating. But but when he finally talked, whew, he’s so cool pala!
I love the curtains and the flower stands na nilagay!
Nakakatuwa yung mga photographers ko dito, since bawal sa altar
area, tago lang sila pero nung nakita nung altar boy, di naman sila sinita. Hehe!
Lastly, though our fault, bait bait talaga ng staff kasi,

Since the church is undergoing repainting, we haven’t had a picturesque of the façade talaga yung bricktype back-ground coz, all white siya. =(

o nainitan rin kami ni Mark. Pati priest naming pawis!
The candles to be lighted are placed dun sa walang design na candle holder. Simple, pero kasi dun sa ibang mga weddings na nakikita ko, yung wooden type na candle holder ang nakalagay.

During our wed preps, I hate it when I finally signed the contract, dun ko nalaman na may additional palang cost ang magdagdag sa guest beyond 200, Hay, pero syempre since I like the place, okay namn siya. At di ko rin kagad nalaman na may deposit pala, =( Next time, I should not be that impulsive talaga. Though I have read sa contract, in-ok ko pa din kasi andun na ko and I marked my word na kukunin ko na yung place. I have this reported to Maan, na everytime during discussion with client, kelangan nila specify yung
mga hidden charges.

Syempre sikat din ang ELO dito sa w@w, kaya we got them, aside from good ratings, good food din and cheap packages. During the time of preps, wala talaga kaming naging prob ni Tina, our AE, super bait niya and accommodating, as well as the owner, Jeric. Ganda ng package (Anthurium) at that time, 380+ per head, wow! Plus, dami ko pang freebies, may chocolate fountain (which the kids and tweenies adored!), cheap upgrade ng flowers, additional cupcakes (replaced the event host), plus discounted beer cost.
During wedding day, I love the flower set-up, upgraded talaga to a gerbera and roses, na dapat calla lily lang. Ganda rin ng gazebo namin, with sunflower pa on sides, hehe.
Okay din si Tina on our wedding day kasi talagang visible siya sa paningin ko plus the owner, Mr. Jeric, mga 1 hour yata siya nag-iikot sa area.
With the food, I love the bacon and cheese spinach pasta and the beef! Yun lang yata nakain ko. Si hubby naman, okay naman sa kanya yung food. (Oops may exceptional kami sa cons…)
After the wedding kinamusta naman ko ni Tina, kaya talagang feel ko ang pagka-VIP. =)

Had already told Tina about these, nag-apologize naman po siya, kaya ok naman na:
1Sobrang labnaw ng soup and hindi na sya mainit talaga to think eto pa yung una na sinerve sa min… hay.
2. The table arrangements which I discussed eh hindi nasunod (likewise fault din ng coord)… hay. Supposedly kasi right wing of the Pavilion will be for the bride’s guests, while left wing will be for the groom’s guest and our friends. Kaya hayun, labo labo, kasi three columns per wing ang ginawa na supposedly should be two wings only.
3. Last minute prob we had is the all about the chairs na tinawag and tinext ni Tina 8 hours before 888… Instead of gold and/or silver tiffany chairs, nauwi sa bronze, okay lang naman, kaso ako na lang ang nagdecide, preferably, Hubby really wanted silver. Next is yung braided-style ribbon sa chair, na di na daw kakayanin because of prior event. Hay, syempre, there’s no way out but to say, okay lang, kung ganun, wala kong magagawa na. Told Tina na pili na lang siya na di super over sa design na nako-coveran na yung chair. Nung nakita okay lang naman, pero siyempre, Im looking forward sa braided pa din.

What my guests complained are all about their services. Upon arrival from Church, syempre, pagod yung mga guests sa traffic, hingi kagad sila water from the waiters. hindi daw binigyan, hay! And another thing, 2 of my VIPs really had complained about poor services, one of my Ninongs, eh humingi ng juice, di kagad binigyan, dahil pang-VIP lang daw, eh, VIP siya… tapos during dinner, one of my Ninangs requested na bigyan siya ng rice… dinedma lang daw siya kahit twice na niya sinabi at di talaga siya nakakain ng rice. Told Tina about this para sabihin na rin ay mr. Jeric.

Sa church approximately 12 songs na yung kinanta nila, when we got to Oasis, narinig ko pa sila nagpraktis ng song during cocktails, pero mukhang di praktis... katuwa, to think na dapat eh, CD playing lang sa Cocktails. Tapos I just prepared at least 10 songs (5 lang sa dinner) pero sa sobrang dami ng bisita ko, naubos kagad yung 5 songs sa dinner, kung sa ibang bride and groom, di na mapapansin yun, sa min, pansin namin na nagdagdag sila ng songs, nakup inabot yata ng plus 2-3songs yung sa dinner, tapos, when the time na yung sister ko kanta, nag-2nd voice pa sila. wala ko masabi, sobrang galing pati acoustic, dala nila nun yung beatbox, shaker and meron pang isa, di ko ma-remember. anyhow, theyre one of the suppliers na talagang sulit, mapapadagdag ang TIP mo sa kanila. Hay, nung natapos ko na lang nalaman, nagsumbong sa kin both sides namin ni Mark, na inaway daw ni Missy yung DJ and yung cousin ko who handles the sound system after the program because nag-choppy yung mic.
